Losing patience with your IT system? Read this before you overhaul the whole thing.

What’s that one task you can’t bear to face? The tedious job that should take five minutes but somehow takes an afternoon and has you constantly needing to stretch your legs or make a cup of tea?

Even in 2020 some business tasks can leave you feeling like you’re stuck in 1995 with a filing cabinet and fax machine.

It might be scanning documents into your ERP or struggling to track a delivery driver. Whatever it is, you’ve probably asked yourself one question a thousand times:

“Why’s this SO HARD?”

The simple answer is that out-of-the-box CRMs and ERPs can’t always cater to all your business needs. Some might promise a one-stop-shop solution, but it’s rarely the case. Your IT packages might do some complex tasks really well, but the smaller, often simple solutions that are specific to your business aren’t included – or will cost you more to incorporate.

While you might be tempted to throw money at bespoke add-ons or even knock everything down and start again, the solution can be much cheaper and simpler.

A quick exercise we like to do with our clients is find out which small tasks cause the most grief. Sometimes, a fresh pair of eyes is all you need to cut straight to a simple fix.

There are two things we want to know:

  1. What’s the biggest operational annoyance? (e.g. typing things twice or logging the same things in different programs)
  2. Is the current system enough? (i.e. is it less than 10 years old and does it cover 80% of operational requirements?)

We then see if a PowerApp can make a difference.

We’ve started developing apps for our clients using Microsoft PowerApps. It’s a platform that helps you build IT solutions quickly and cheaply, and that also works with your existing IT systems. You and your team can access your app easily on your phone or through a web browser.

We’re recommending PowerApps because they:

  • are quick and easy to develop
  • don’t interfere with your existing software or platform
  • integrate perfectly with Office 365 and your company SharePoint

You can finally streamline and automate all those tasks that waste valuable hours and leave you and your colleagues asking ‘anyone for tea?’ every ten minutes.

Spending just five minutes right now could save your business HUNDREDS OF HOURS.

Watch this quick video introduction and then tell us your most annoying business problem in the form below. We’ll get back to you with a simple, no obligation, solution.

Maybe a PowerApp is all you need to take a load off.
